I am Asmaa, 25 years old, the daughter of this beautiful family of 8 members. My family and I live in very difficult circumstances after October 7, before we were living a happy life filled with joy. Our house was completely destroyed, and the house of my older brother, “Dia,” who was supposed to marry soon, was destroyed. we had to flee to save ourselves to a less safe place after the Israeli army ordered to move to southern Gaza. We ended up fleeing to a small tent and sleeping on the sand due to the crowded population, under the intense summer heat, and the sound of explosions from time to time. We had a little kitten whom we called “Timur.” We all loved him. He lived with us. He became sick and dehydrated due to lack of food. It was difficult for us to provide him with his own food, so we were devastated after we found him passed away. Family is the most precious thing we have. We were happy with our life in our home before it was destroyed, now the minimum basic necessities of life are not available anymore, such as food, drink, housing, and treatment. We never imagined that this would affect our health, as diseases have spread as a result of food and water pollution. We walk dozens of kilometers to search for a medical point for treatment. We did not imagine that our life would be like this after it was beautiful and quiet in Gaza, and we had our dreams and plans for the future. My father and my brothers had a job and a fixed income, and there was a house with a roof to shelter us, but the war deprived us of that...
