"Saving the knowledge of a sinking Atlantis"

OVERVIEW IN A NUTSHELL
The aim of this anthtropological project is to recall and save the memories of the Tibetan culture before and after the Chinese invasion by the stories of elders and youngsters who are refugees in Dharamsala, India.
The interviews will be presented in a book by the Shambhala Publications with an extensive scale and depth into the main focus: how it was to leave Tibet, and how it was to live in Tibet before and after the invasion, without any prejudice by the authors. We will show just the simple facts trough the memories of the interviewed participants. A professional photographer, a documentary reporter, and an anthropologist is on our side to make it perfect.
More over, there will be a short 50 minutes video to spread most of the interviews trough out the TV channels as Spectrum, Discovery and online media as well.
We are suppported by the highest ranked Rinpoches and Lamas. We hope, we are sure His Holiness the Dalai Lama will take a part by writing a foreword, and He will be probably the first to tell His story.
We are in a hurry, as the elders are quite old, so we have to be quick to catch them as the memories are going to die day by day. We have only one year to collect the financial support.
ABOUT THE PROJECT LEADERS
Tas Bognar is an experienced traveller in Asia for nearly two decades. Lived in Dharamsala for 3 years, so he has all the local knowledge and contacts to make the project smooth.
Szilvia Bognar is a dedicated anthropologist, photographer and reporter. Well known in the area, deeply interrested in the subject. Devotedly looking forward to make this all to happen.
BUDGET FOR THE PROJECT
Acommodation for 4 month: 1500 USD
Flight: 2000 USD
Domestic travel: 200 USD
Food: 500 USD or 230 EUR (for 4 month)
Afterwork, publishing and unknown costs: 3000 USD
Insuraces: 300 USD
Digital equipment: camera 700 USD, 2 laptops 2000 USD
TOTAL: 10200 USD
THIS PROJECT HAS TO BE DONE NOW
We hope to have many wise men with us who have realized that the teachings of the Tibetans will also benefit the Western culture.
We welcome all support as soon as possible because there are only a few dozen people in Dharamsala who lived before the 1949 Chinese invasion.
